Requirements for Attestation of Documents

The High Commission charges fee for attestation as per attached fee schedule. The requisite fee has to be deposited in High Commission for Pakistan, Kuala Lumpur's bank Account No. 1000-200-14413, at Affin Bank. The bank-in slip, a photocopy of the document(s), national identity card / passport and their photocopies along with the original documents have to be submitted for attestations.

Following are the requirements for attestation of document(s), by the high Commission:

  • 1. All types of documents issued in Pakistan i.e. Birth certificates, Marriages certificates, Driving license, Affidavits, NADRA's registration forms, Police character certificate, Educational certificates, Degrees etc. must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad, or its camp offices at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar or Quetta. Prior to their submission to the high commission.
  • 2. All types of documents issued in Malaysia i.e. birth certificates, marriages certificates, driving license, affidavits, NADRA's registration forms, police character certificate, educational certificates, degrees etc must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia (wisma putra), Putrajaya. Prior to their submission to the high commission for attestation.
  • 3. In case of Pakistan national desirous of getting their signatures attested on the affidavits, Power of attorney, pension papers, authority letters etc, the deponent(s)/Executant(s) are signatory (ies) has/have to sign/ with thumb impression on the document(s) in presence of relevant official of the High Commission. In case they cannot come to the High Commission their documents have to be notarized and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia (wisma putra), Putrajaya. Prior to their submission to the high commission for attestation.
  • 4. In case of Malaysian national desirous of getting their signatures attested on the affidavits, authority letters etc, the deponent(s) are signatory(ies) has/have to get their document(s notarized and attested by the Ministry of foreign Affairs Malaysia (wisma putra), Putrajaya Prior to their submission to the high commission for attestation.
  • 5. The High Commission of Pakistan, Kuala Lumpur, reserves the right to verify the documents from the issuing / attesting authority prior to its attestation.
